Question

Calculate I1, I2, I3, and I4 using all four equations. Theanswers in the book shows I1=1A, I2=3A, I3=8A and I4=4A, but I needthe calculations procedures. -200 I1 - 40 -80 I2 = 0 80 I2 + 400 - 20 I3 = 0 20 I3 - 440 - 70 I4 = 0 -200 I1 - 80 - 70 I4 = 0 Calculate I1, I2, I3, and I4 using all four equations. Theanswers in the book shows I1=1A, I2=3A, I3=8A and I4=4A, but I needthe calculations procedures. -200 I1 - 40 -80 I2 = 0 80 I2 + 400 - 20 I3 = 0 20 I3 - 440 - 70 I4 = 0 -200 I1 - 80 - 70 I4 = 0

Explanation / Answer

First solve the first eqn for I2 in terms of I1 Next plug that answer into the 2nd eqn replacing I2 then solve that eqn for I3 Next plug that answer into 3rd eqn solve 3rd eqn for either I1 or I4 then plug that answer into 4theqn.. at that point you will have one varible to solve for then just workbackwards to solve the rest It sounds complicated and it will get a bit long but your basiclyjust doing the same thing 3 times
