Question

A ball with original momentum +4kg m/s hits a wall and bouncesstraight back with out losing any kinetic energy. The change inmomentum of the ball is? a. 0 b. -4.00kg m/s c. 8.0 kg m/s d. -8.0 kg m/s e. not enough information I believe it is (b) since it is not losing any velocity whenit returns? Is this correct? Please explain if not? ThankYou! A ball with original momentum +4kg m/s hits a wall and bouncesstraight back with out losing any kinetic energy. Explanation / Answer

I would go with your initial thought. The ball is still moving with the same kinetic energy (energy in motion) but in th opposite direction (indicating a change in sign or -).
