Question
If you were to plot y versus m using the equation y= (g/k) m+ y0 How would you calculate the value for k?If you were to plot T2 versus ms using the equation T2 =(4*3.14*/k)(ms +mw ) How would you calculate the value for mw
the *3.14* is suppose to be a pi symbol...I couldn't get it towork. Also I'm sorry if my equations look a little funny it's justnot working on my computer.

Explanation / Answer
the equation y= (g/k) m + y0 is in the form of y = mx + c where m = g / k = slope if you plote the graph you will get a straight line so by finding the slope of the line we get g/k = slope so k = g / slope the equation T2 =(4*3.14*/k)(ms +mw ) =(4*3.14*/k)(ms ) +(4*3.14*/k)(mw ) considering this in the form y = mx + c we get m = (4*3.14*/k) and c = (4*3.14*/k)( mw ) where c is the intersept on y axis so mw = (y intersept * k ) / ( 4*3.14)Related Questions
