A bullet was shot upward with an initial vertical velocitycomponent 800m/s and an initial horizontal component 500m/s. a)Find initial speed of bullet & angle it makes withhorizontal b)Sketch this vector & it's components to scale c)What are the bullets velocity and acceleration at it'shighest point d)What is the horizontal position of the bullet when itreaches it's highest point e)For how long is the bullet in the air? Thanks will rate well a)Find initial speed of bullet & angle it makes withhorizontal b)Sketch this vector & it's components to scale c)What are the bullets velocity and acceleration at it'shighest point d)What is the horizontal position of the bullet when itreaches it's highest point e)For how long is the bullet in the air?
Thanks will rate well
Explanation / Answer
I won't work out the answers, but I'll give you hints tofigure it out for yourself. a) Use trig. You have the x and y components, now find thehypotenuse and angle (think tangent inverse) b) its the graph c) Just think about it. At the highest point, it reaches 0velocity in the y, and g for accerlation, velocity in x isconstant. d) Use your time equations d=vt+1/2gt2. (d would be0, assuming it it shot from the ground and lands in the ground)Find t. Half of t is the highest point time. Use d=vt. e)You found it in part d) Message me if you still need more help.Related Questions
