Question

Two planes of charge with no thickness, A and B, are paralleland vertical. The electric field in region to the left ofplane A has magnitude (3/2o) and points tothe left. The electric field in the region to the right of Bhas magnitude (3/2o) and points to theright. The electric field in the region between the twoplanes has magnitude (/2o) and points to theright. Find the surface charge density on planes A andB. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks. Two planes of charge with no thickness, A and B, are paralleland vertical. Explanation / Answer

I assume A is to the left of B. Assuming surface charge densities are A andB respectively, 3/20 =A/20 +B/20 (to the leftof surface A) /20 = A/20- B/20 (in betweensurface A and surface B) Now you can solve for A and B. Hope this helps.
