Question
My chosen answers are incorrect!
A permanent bar magnet with the north pole pointing downward is dropped through a solenoid, as shown in the illustration What is the direction of the induced current that would be measured in the ammeter as the magnet falls the solenoid? O down O O first down, then up first up, then down If the magnet, still oriented with the north pole pointing downward, is pulled upward completely solenoid, what is the direction of the induced current measured in the ammeter? the up first up, then down first down, then up down O OExplanation / Answer
1. (c) first down then up
As, the flux through the loop increases and by lenz's law the current will be down in ammeter. As the magnet exists the flux thrugh the loop decrreases, so, current will be up in ammeter.
2. (c) first down then up.
Just opposite reason as in 1.
