As V=I*R,
I=V/R ; or I= V/(R1+R2)
There is a constant current I in the circuit.
The voltage drop across R1 is I*R1 and across R2 is I*R2. Since R2>R1, so I*R2>I*R1. So, the voltage drop across R1 is smaller than across R2.
As mentioned above, the current I through both resistors is same.
