What volume would the air occupy if it were released into the atmosphere, where the pressure is 101 kPa and the temperature is 301 K ?


I got 4.162 m^3 but its telling me its wrong.

The branch is a uniform cylinder 4.4 cm in diameter, and the end of the branch supporting the chimp sags downward through a vertical distance x = 12 cm .What is the shear modulus for this branch?

I got 1.6*10^6 N/m^2 and its wrong

1] by ideal gas equation, number of moles n = P1V1/RT1

Now V2 = nRT2/P2

putting value of n,

V2 = (P1V1/RT1) RT2/P2 = V1*(P1/P2)*(T2/T1) = 0.550*(810/101)*(301/290)

= 4.5782 m^3 Answer
