Map out Sapling Learning macmin laarnio As an eager scientist on a hot summer day you wish to determine how much ice to buy to add to your cooler which is filled with 32 cans of soda which are warm at 84.10F. Each can has a mass of 393 g and ideally you want the temperature of the drinks to be 41.5. If there is no heat lost by the cooler an ng any heat lost to the soda containers, how much ice needs to be added to your cooler? (Assume e temperature of the ice is 32.0F) Po Number Incorrect. It seems you have assumed the specific lbs heat of the soda to be equal to water. See mee = 17.80 the hint panel for the given quantities as Yo ur TH OH o w OTeExplanation / Answer
41.5 F= 5.28 °C
84.1 F= 28.94 °C
32F= 0 °C
So
32 x 393 x 0.9 x (23.66) = m x 80 + m x 1 x 5.28
So, m = 3140.165 grams = 6.922 lbs
