In communication, "encoding" is using codes for the conversion of information from one system to another system. The code can either be letter or sign or symbol. The encoder provide the signal or message to the people, which is encoded in their minds and convey the message to the receiver. The interpretation by the receiver depends upon their intellectual level and experience.

The interpretation by the receiver is known as “decoding.” After interpretation, the receiver decode the message to the source. Thus, the process of encoding and decoding makes the communication easy and continuous.
