In a previous problem, the speed of the space vehicle wasdecreased as it passed through A by firing its engine in adirection opposite to the direction of motion. An alternativestrategy for taking the space vehicle out of its circular orbitwould be to turn it around so that its engine would point away fromearth and then give it an incremental velocity va towardthe center of the earth. This would likely require a smallerexpenditure of energy when firing the engine at A but might resultin too fast a decent at B. Assuming this strategy is used with only50% power used in the previous problem (with speeds at Va and Vbbeing 3.45 km/s and 4.17 km/s) determine the resulting values of Vband .
