Question

Heat in = 30 ton, Temperature 1 = -20 F, Pressure ofcompression 1 = 80 lbf/in^2, Pressure of compressor 2 = 80lbf/in^2, Pressure 4 = 250 lbf/in^2, efficency of both compressors= 85% I am confused what h3 is to be after going thru thedirect contact heat exchanger when the heat exchanger is at 80lbf/in^2. Is it going thru the second compressor at a highertemperature? Heat in = 30 ton, Temperature 1 = -20 F, Pressure ofcompression 1 = 80 lbf/in^2, Pressure of compressor 2 = 80lbf/in^2, Pressure 4 = 250 lbf/in^2, efficency of both compressors= 85% I am confused what h3 is to be after going thru thedirect contact heat exchanger when the heat exchanger is at 80lbf/in^2. Explanation / Answer

Okay, for three. coming from the heat exchanger to the compressoras ( Saturated Vapor) making, S3=S4sP3 is 80 , u can get h3 and S3, P4 is 250, and u know that S3=S4s ---->h4s = 693.53 Now you can calculate h4 = h3 +(h4s - h3)/hc = 705.92 Is that clearer now? Thanks!
