Question
Hi,my name is Qusay, 44 years old, i have a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, since 1990, and i did not get a chance to practice what i studied. Now i want to brush up on some materials in order to apply for job, and i do not know what courses are important in my field, which classes should i take, can i study engineering on line, and which university?. please if you have any idea or advise that could benefit me to start over again and build up a career, let me know and i am ready to start even from the first step, if necessary. thank you
Explanation / Answer
Almost Each and Every thing is important in Mechanical , But with shortage of time first you should mainly foccus upon 1. Thermodynamics 2.Fluid Mechanics 3.Material Science 4.Production Engineering ( which mainly include casting, forming ,welding) In most of the interview if u know can able to answer Fluid mechanics and Thermo dynamics your selection would be almost sure. These are the subject in which after studying we can score well otherwise in subject like Machine designing, Dynamics of machine, etc. they require more practice and their questions are generally much harder. And it would be better if you study by yourself by online video lecture, or by your notes.
