2.construct the shear and bending moment diagrams show all calculations at change of load points and identify points of zero shear and maximum momnet

3.calculate the moment of inertia IX of the beam cross section

4.using the flexure formula calculate the max and min bending stress

5.using the general shear formula calculate the max shear stress

6.if the beam is fabricated from AISI 1020 hot rolled steel and the allowable stress is .66(tensile yiel) and the allowable shear stress is .40 (tensile yield ) do the actual stresses exceed the allowable stress values
