the equation for the uncntrolled overflow is: Q=CLH3/2   with Q=discharge in cfs C= variable coeff of discharge L= effecttive length of crest H= total head on crest including velocity of approachinghead I think this is the key equation, and you should be able tolook up the coeff. ( i think it changes with H).
