Question
Ok I am having some problems grasping part g of problem9.5. The function is 170Cos(120 - 60). Itaskes where the first place after t = 0 will the V =170. I have graphed this and am not sure how the answer isachieved. I understand the math and how you get the answer bysolving for t after setting the V(t) to 170. But, what doesthis mean graphically? It appealrs to me that at t= 0 thevoltage is maxed at 170 because this is a cos function on the V v tgraph. then the next time it reaches 170 is should be 2later right? which would be at 7/3 on the V v anglegraph. But, that would just be t = T 16.7ms. So....where is 2.78ms. and how does that relate? Obviously Iam a little confuse. I hope this is not too confusing an explanation. Thanks.
