Question
I have a complex power value as 25761.6. I am pretty sure thatthis is in polar form However, i want to get this value in rectangular form (i.e.S=P+jQ). What is the formula for getting my "S" value into the P+jQformat? What would 25761.6 be in this form? Thank you so much for your help I have a complex power value as 25761.6. Hello fellow MSOE'er! First of all you need an angle associated with that. Ifyour number is 25761.6<0o where "<" is thepolar notation for angle in this case you do: S = 25761.6(cos + jsin ) = 25761.6(cos 0 + j sin0) = 25761.6(1 + j(0)) = 25761.6 + j0 = 25761.6W which means thisall real power through a resistor. Are you sure that is thecorrect power value?Related Questions
