Here you must make use of Lenz's law which states that "an induced electromotive force (emf) always gives rise to a current whose magnetic field opposes the original change in magnetic flux" .

a)current is from a to b and increasing : this means the magnetic field generated by that current is pointed to the left and the flux is increasing in that direction . Hence to oppose that flux the induced current must be generated such that its magnetic field is pointed to the right , so the induced current should be from left to right (or clockwise) .

b) from b to a and decreasing : this means the magnetic flux is pointed to the right but it's decreasing due to the decrease of the current , hence the induced current must be pointed from left to right , or clockwise .

c) from b to a and increasing : this means the magnetic flux is pointed to the right and it's increasing , hence the induced current must be pointed from right to left (counterclockwise) .
