Hi, I'm having trouble with the last part regarding crossing over etc. Thank you!
Female: Male Draw the (unreplicated) chromosomes present in the parents and label the alleles. (Be sure that your uppercase and lower- case letters are distinct.) Female: alXRH Gamete genotypes (write these-don't draw) Punnett square: WT Y rh F1 genotypes and proportions: Females all XWt XWT RH/rh; males all Xwt Y RH/rh In the space to the right, write the genotypes of all possible gametes produced by F1 females if crossing over occurs between the W and T genes on the X chromosome, but no crossing over occurs between the R and H genes , XWT RHExplanation / Answer
Crossin over :- it is the exchange of genetic material between homologous chromosomes that results in recombinant chromosomes during sexual meiosis, that produce gamet.
In given question crossing over takes only between W and T genes on the X chromosome then both W and T will separate , but R and H will not not be separated.
