Evaluate the function below at x = 3.94 using 3-digit arithmetic with chopping after every operation (i.e. 4.287185 becomes 4.28, this is different that rounding, which would give 4.29. do this by hand) and using the two forms of the same function f(x) = x3 - 7.5x2 + 11.2x + 2.8 = ((x - 7.5)x + 11.2)x + 2.8 The second form of the equation is called the nested form and is usually more accurate if limited precision is used since fewer operations are required and therefore the effects of rounding are minimized. Compare the answers you find using 3-digit arithmetic with the much more accurate answer given by evaluating the function in MATLAB.
