answer with details please

the question is:

the support at A is a ball-and-socket joint that is incapable of supporting any

moments. the tension in the cable attached at a point along the postive x-axis is 1200N.

determine the tensionns that are required in the other two cables for equilibrium.

Explanation / Answer

for this ball socket to be in equilibrium the net forces should be zero i.e( the sum of forces due to tensions in the all wire and due to external force)

therfore writing equation for forces of equilibrium and drawing FBD in all the direction x, y, z respectively

so we get tension in other two cable as 5696N(y direction) and 613.65N(x direction)
