Problem 1)

When in series,

A) Equivalent resistance Req = 5+5+5 = 15 ohm

B) Current I = 13/15 = 0.867 A. ( Current will be same in series in each resistor)  

C) when in parallel,

1/Req = (1/5) + (1/5) + (1/5) =

Req = 1.667 0hm (ans)

Net current through circuit

i= V/R= 13/1.67

i= 7.784 A

As all resistance are same so current divide equally,

Current in each resistance given by

i= 7.784/3

= 2.5948 A (ans)
