What are major sources of error for lab experiment of plotting the electric field. There were two parts of experiment: field between parallel plate capacitor (using silver paint to simulate electrodes) and oppositely charged wires( again using silver paint).

There can be two posible sources that can cause random errors are

1) How the galvanometer reading was taken . This is related to parallax error where person reading might be at different angles

2) There can be two sources of systematic error . One is the interference of metal in the table .

Metal plates used could have scratches in them
