Time taken by gazelle to cover a distance of 1.28km = 1280 m is:

t = 1280/17 = 75.294 s.

and time taken by the mouse to cover the entire length is: t = 1600/3.9 = 410.256s

this must also be the time in which the gazelle covers the same distance.

410.256 = 75.294 + t' + (1600-1280)/17
