A)

(1/R') = (1/5) + (1/5) + (1/3)

R' = 1.36 ohm

Equivalent resistance, R = 1.36 + 3 = 4.36 ohm

B) and C)

Total current, I = I4 = 20/4.36 = 4.59 A

Current through R' = 4.59 A

Voltage in R', VR' = V1 = V2 = V3 = 4.59 x 1.36 = 6.24 V

Voltage in R4 = 20 - 6.24 = 13.76 V

Current in R1, I1 = 6.24/5 = 1.25 A

Current in R2, I2 = 1.25 A

Current in R3, I3 = 6.24/3 = 2.08 A
