Question

QUESTION 8 What is a reasonable range of air flow velocity for good design 65 ft/min-/- 10% no more than 5 ft/min between 10-50ft/min Air velocity does not really impact the design. It is all about temperature and humidity QUESTION 9 Good air quality will have or will have not following qualities. O It will have sufficient amount of Oxygen @ It will not have Nitrogen It will not have dust It will have reasonable amount of moisture G It will not have odors and objectionable impurities All of the above

Explanation / Answer

8. between 10-50 ft/min

That depends on air temperature and turbulence rate. 1,5 m/s seems a rather high value. ISO standard 7730 (2005) is recommended as a guideline.

As per ISO 7730 outlines a maximum mean air velocity of 0.12 and 0.1 m/s in summer and winter respectively for offices. Also Appendix G states there is no ‘minimum air velocity’ that is required for thermal comfort however increased air velocity can be used to offset increased temperatures. I

9. all option are correct
