a) The 3 sectors of construction are as under:

1) Building: It refers to the construction of less load buildings. They can be residential or non residential.

2) Infrastructure: It refers to the construction of heavy load buildings that includes large public works, dams, bridges, highways, railways,etc.

3) Industrial: It involves the construction of of different types of industries which includes refineries, mills, manufacturing units,etc.

Thus as per the definition provided we can state that all construction happening in the world can be placed in all 3 sectors thus construction has 3 sectors.

b) Soil investigation is a process of obtaining the details of the soil beneath the earth. It's objective are as under:

1) To know allowable bearing capacity of foundation proposed for building.

2) To know depth and type of foundation for proposed building.

3) To know type, grading and nature of soil.

4) To know ground water level.

5) Support a risk assessment.

6) Benchmark the contamination status of soil.

c) Stages of construction are as under:

1) Design team:

It is formal group of relevent people gathered to plan, design the proceedings. It includes drawings,specifications prepared by architects, engineers which will be helpful in work.

2) Financial Advisors:

Construction of project requires large amount of money. Thus in any case if there exist lack of money during project duration, a huge loss can occur to team. Thus a proper advisor is selected to manage the cash flow beforehand.

3) Legal Aspects:

Construction project always requires the permission in various field such as environment, government regulations or property. Thus a proper framework should be prepared and all legal works should be performed by team in this stage.

4) Interaction of expertise:

Everything thought, design may have some faults thus proper expertise are consulted and proper advise is taken so that the project do not fail in future.
