b) For a solenoid, L = 0 n2 A/l.; 0 = 4 x 10^-7 H-m-1 n = no.of turns A = area of cross-section l = length of solenoid

c) Maximum energy in the inductor = 24 micro joules
U = 1/2 (B2 V/ 0) V = volume of solenoid = r2l = 3.11 x 10-4 m3
