Set up a generic equation to describe the conservation of momentum between these two vehicles in terms of the mass and velocity o each before and after the collision." It then says "repeat this part assuming it is now an inelastic collision. Assume one cart is at rest initially and the other is in motion and after the collision both are in motion.
