According to this journal, It is reported that insomnia is found in up to ¼ of the healthy kids and ¾ in children’s those are suffering with any neurological or psychological disorder.
It may affect the development of children adversely. Children, suffering with DSP syndrome (delayed sleep phase syndrome) can be treated with melatonin. It is very effective and comparatively safer than other treatment chemicals.
Hence, melatonin is very helpful and effective in sleep disorder treatments.
