It has very high concentration of dissolved solutes, around 8000mOsm. Describe the likely size andd habitat of the animal. Then, explain why producing concentrated urine like this allows the animal to survive given its size and habitat.

Explanation / Answer

The urine sample probably associated with chinchillas. The expected mammalian size is 23-38 cm in length with 8-15 cm length tail. The preferred habitats of these animals are burrows and rock crevices where they can hide from predators.
