I am confused that the answer is D, because the textbook says that Endospores cannot be stained by simple staining ot gram staining because the dyes dont penetrate the enospores wall..

you are right by simple staining endospores cannot be stained. for staining the endoores high heat or pressure has to be applied.Steam and heat are needed to allw the stain to enter the endospore. Water and decoloriser cannot was the stain away
