Deflate cuffExplanation / Answer
Use a sphingomanometer is relative easy the squence of steps is as follows:
1.- You must wrap the cuff around the arm, just above the elbow
2.-Place the stethoscope over brachial artery.
3.- Squeeze bul to inflate the cuff above systolic preasure (Usually the nurses and meds do it above of 200mmHg)
4.-Slowly release the preassure valve (Also nurses and meds release the presion at ratio of 10-20mmHg per second)
5.- Record numbre when soynd of Korotkoff appear (This sound is because the valves of the heart is opening and closing, also the sphyngomanometer needle go up and down to the sound)
6.- Record number when sounds of korotkoff disappear (when the sound disapear the needle also stops moving and downs normally)
