This the following is an answer to the question, "Write.a.short.paragraph.to.show how.Einstein’s.theories.have.affected.the average.person.in.his.everyday.life.( This may.include.concepts.other.than.special.relativity).Please summarise the following to 200 words maintaining as much details as possible. Please correct the grammar if there are any grammatical error? Thank you very much. I really appreciate your help.
Einstein's theories of special and general relativity as well as the photoelectric-effect theory have helped spawn many useful applications. For instance, both of Einstein's relativity theories (Special Relativity and General Relativity) are needed in the computations made by the GPS satellites, in order for them to be sufficiently accurate. From the combined effect of these theories, it became known that clocks inside satellites run 38 microseconds faster per day. Thus, engineers account for this in the clocks on earth. All GPS measurements will be off by 11 km daily, if relativity knowledge is not used. The theory of special relativity is also vital in the construction of the particle accelerators that are used nowadays to probe the small-scale world of sub-atomic particles. Particle accelerators are important for the arts, the other sciences, medicine and high-tech industries.
Einstein's photoelectric- effect theory has many useful everyday applications. The most obvious modern use for this effect, are solar panels which convert the Sun's light into electricity. Apart from that, automatic garage door openers have a safety feature that depends on the photoelectric effect to prevent door closing upon encountering an obstruction. The photoelectric effect is used in a plethora of other devices, including photocopiers, light meters and less commonly known electronical components such as photodiodes (a photo detector that is important in cameras).
Explanation / Answer
Dr. Einsteins theory's are so far advanced of the general public that they have little to no effect on anyone other then those studying the theories of physics. Of course the space question comes up but, even then, his theories cannot be used because they are only theories.
One day in the far future some of these will be a constant use for them once we've conquered space.
Worm holes, space bending, warped drives and curvatures of space, light drives all are thories for now.
I don't know if users of Global Positioning System devices qualify as "average", but it's at least getting that way....
Both of Einstein's relativity theories (Special Relativity and General Relativity) are needed in the computations made by the GPS satellites, in order to be sufficiently accurate.
For another example, consider solar-powered electric devices. Einstein won his Nobel Prize for explaining how the photoelectric effect works, so you could say that the everyday use of these devices stems from his work.
