Explanation / Answer

Examples of a complex media would be peptone, that is a protiein i.e. degraded partially , amino acids riched, which is frequently used as a source of carbon and ntirogen. MacConkey agar, Nutrient broth and blood agar are all come under complex media. It means, it has much substances in single solution. They are used on bacteria that need a complex nutrient. It consist of organic materials which is not chemically pure and not specifically known chemical components. Examples are Tryptic Soy Broth/Agar.

MacConkey agar is a selective as well as a differential culture medium used to designed bacteria to isolate selectively Gram-negative and enteric bacilli and distinguish them on the basis of lactose fermentation. The bile salts and crystal violet restrict the growth of gram-positive organisms that allows for the isolation as well as selection of gram-negative bacteria.

Chemically defined media is consist of an accurate amounts of chemically pure, specifically known organic or inorganic components. Examples are glucose salt broth .

TSA (Trypticase Soy Agar) and Nutrient Agar are come under General Purpose Media which are neither selective nor differential, their aim is simply to grow various types of bacteria cheaply and can find the  microorganism's hemolytic activity.

TSA at 20% NaCl is a method to test the presence or absence of Staphylococccous aureus.

Minimal media consist of the minimum requirements for growth also mostly a chemically defined medium.

Glucose Minimal Agar : Minimal, chemicaly defined, and selective media,

No growth = can't produce all requirements to grow from glucose.

Growth = can produce all the required things to grow from glucose.

Blood agar : complex, Rich and differential media

Blood agar consist of general nutrients plus sheep blood (5%). It is beneficial for growing fastidious organisms and for knowing the hemolytic capabilities of an organism. Few bacteria generate exoenzymes which lyse red blood cells and degenerate hemoglobin; are known as hemolysins.
