You will also have to compare your results with previous research. Think carefully about how you will sequence the information so that you develop a logical discussion. Explanation / Answer

1. The first sentence of the 'Discussion' paragraph describes the features of Tetrazolium which is not relevant in context of the experiment under consideration. The first line only goes on to inform us in what form Tetrazolium exists and its solubility features. The experiment however deals with the role of tterazolium as a redox indiactor, wherein the reduction of Tetrazolium is proof of cellular respiration. The first line of the discussion paragraph does not touch upon that aspect of Tetrazolium, and is therefore not related to the results or the purpose of this experiment.

2. The second sentence of the paragraph informs us of the observation that germinated seeds of 2015 showed reduction of Tetrazolium, indicating cellular respiration. This statement is relevant to the experiment, but not appropriate for the discussion section. This sentence provides an observation, or a result that was obtained through the experiment, and therefore should have been included under the 'Observations' or 'Results' heading, preceding the 'Discussion' section. The 'Discussion' section should bear interpretations of the results/observations and describe their significance, instead of merely stating observational facts.

3. The third sentence of the paragraph is not related to its preceding sentence, and is a precautionary measure that should be observed while carrying out the experiment. This sentence also doesn't belong to the 'Discussion' section, since it is not interpreting any observation or describing the results obtained through the experiment. The precautionary measure should have either been included separately in a "Precautions" heading, or included in the "Procedure"/ "Materials and Methods" section, so that the person performing the experiment can take this precautionary measure while going through the procedure. In short, the third sentence is not relevant to the discussion of the experimental results and is also not serving its purpose. The sentences in the 'Discussion' section seem unrelated and not connected to each other. The purpose of a 'Discussion' section is to explain the results or observations and understand why so and so results were obtained. The whole experiment should be summed up in the 'Discussion' section which should holistically convey a singular idea in the form of a logically connected story, which is not the case here.

4. The last sentence recommends increasing the number of seeds and the amount of Tetrazolium, in order to minimise the experimental errors, since a larger data set is less likely to provide biased results. This statement does belong to the discussion section since it seems like an interpretation of the results obtained and talks about methods of obaining better results. But, it is not preceded by the actual results which led to this statement. The biased or faulty results that this sentence is in all probablity referring to, has not been provided in the paragraph, which is why the sentence makes no sense. It is important to know what went wrong in the experiment and what are the conflicting results, in order to fully understand what the sentence is referring to.

5. The author should have mentioned all the observations and results obtained over the course of the experiment and discuss as to why these results have been obtained. The results and observations are esseentially a group pf facs and figures, which is why the 'Discussion' section is important since it deals with the explanation of the results, and connects all the results, proving that they are all proving the singlular objective of the experiment. The author should have also included the conflicting results, since it is evident from the last line of the paragraph that there were indeed some erroneous results obtained in the experiment. In case of conflicting results, the same should be discussed as well, explaining the reason the erroneous results might have bene obtained (like small saple size, insufficient incubatory period etc.). One might also discuss if the conflicting results indicate a different observation which might not agree with the objective of the experiment. In summary, the discussion section of the experiment should be written in the form of a story where the objective, procedure and the observations come together to make sense of what this experiment has achieved.
