Question

The following figure represents the plot of x(t) = A cos (Ohm_0t + theta) + c|. The x-axis values in this plot, let's call them x| have been normalized by the period, T| of the sinusoid (ie. x = t/T|). Thus the time t| in seconds, is T * x|. Use T = 0.06|. What is the amplitude A|? 3 What is the principal value of the phase theta| in radians. You can enter a mathematical expression using pi to represent pi| or a numerical answer. 0.9 What is the value of c|? 5 What is the value of the frequency ohm_0| after being converted to Hz? 16.7

Explanation / Answer

x(t)= A sin (pi/2 +w0t +theta)=> t=T*x

w0= 2pi*t/T =104.71 (here t=1)

sinusoidal wave is starting from -Xaxis at x=-0.4 so.,to find principal value 104.71*(0.06*-0.4)+pi/2+theta=0

theta= - pi/2+2.513

to find value of c

consider t1= x1*T=0.6*0.06=0.036 and x(t)=0

then substitute values in given wave equation we get, c=-0.065
