(i)A light emitting layer consisting of a plurality of light emitting particles embedded within a host matrix material, each of said light emitting particles consisiting of a collection of semiconductor nanoparticles embedded within a polymeric encapsulation medium

(ii)A light emitting layer is a collection of semiconductor nanoparticles so it contain ions which are from the group 11 , 12, 13, 14, 15 and/or 16 of the periodic table, or d-block metal ion.
