Express your answer to three significant figures and include the appropriste units Express your answer to three significant fiqures and include the appropriate units

Explanation / Answer

12.5 Given       v = 6t -3t2

                  a = dv/dt

                    = 6 - 6t

                s = integral of (v)dt

                s = 3t2 -t3

Solution of Part (A)    acceleration at t= 4.4 sec is

              a = 6 - 6*(4.4)

              a = -20.4 m/sec2

Solution of Part (B) Position of particle at time 4.4 sec

            s = 3t2 -t3

           s = 3(4.4)2 - (4.4)3

           s = -27.104 m

Solution of Part (C) distance travelled by particle in interwal of 4.4 sec

        = 4 + 4 +27.104

        = 35.104 m

Solution of Part (D) average speed in interwal of 4.4 sec

       Vavg = total distance travelled /total time taken

               = 35.104/4.4

               = 7.98 m/sec
