Question
A cryogenic vacuum pump works by condensing vapors onto some absorbent medium This is an efficient and dean way to pump a system in a research environment The term 'cryo' means cold, thereofre, these types of vacuum pumps contain a refrigerant cycle to cool the internal parts The temperature difference between the inside and outside of a typical cryogenic pump is triangle T = 312 C*. Derive an expression to convert this difference into Fahrenheit and express the answer below. Incorrect. An equation needs to be derived ofr a temperature difference. It is not as simple as converting the Celsius temperature into Fahrenheit.Explanation / Answer
Ans: We have toused the usual coventional formula for celcius to fahrenhiet coversion to get the formula for difference of temp in F. wehave..
°F=°C x9/5 + 32
Now say C1 and C2 be the two temp in celcius whose difference dc=(C2- C1)=312 celcius.
And if F1 and F2 be the same temp in fahrenheit the,
F1=C1*(9/5)+32 and ; F2=C2*(9/5) +32 ;
So, (F2 - F1) =(C2 - C1)*(9/5) =312*(95/5) F=561.6 Fahrenheit.
So wrong thind is that we cannot directly convert the difference in celcius to F.We have to use proper transformation relation
