Question
Use the worked example above to help you solve this problem. A wheel rotates with a constant angular acceleration of 4.00 rad/s2. Assume the angular speed of the wheel is 2.30 rad/s at ti = 0.
Find the angle through which the wheel rotates between t = 2.00 s and t = 3.40 s.
I understand the concept, but -try as I might- cannot find the correct answer...I am making a mistake somewhere and it's driving me nuts *lol*. Please provide step-by-step solution as well as final answer, thanks! Will rate lifesaver!!
Explanation / Answer
- 0 = t + 1 / 2 t^2 ;
we can calulate 0 and for t= 2 , ;
= 0 + 2.3 * 2 = 4.6 rad /s ;
now t= 0 to t = ( 3.4-2 ) = 1.4 s ;
= 4.6 * 1.4 + 1 / 2 * 2.3 * 1.4^2 = 8.694 rad
