h2 = M2 - M / M1 - M

A parental population with normal distribution (M)

A “selected” segment of the parental population that expresses the desired quantitative phenotype (M1)

The offspring (M2) resultant of interbreeding the selected M1 group

M1= 16.6 m/s

M2= 15.3 m/s

h2 = 15.3-14.2 / 16.6-14.2
