Question

sorry i didnt post a clear picture. all i need is two parts now: F and G but here is the whole question, just so you know what is involved:

The output voltage of an AC generator is given by v = 102 V sin (27t). The generator is connected across a 0.007 H inductor. Find the following.

a.) frequency of the generator = 13.5 Hz

b.) rms voltage across the inductor = 72.12 V

c.) inductive reactance = .594 [Ohm]

d.)rms current in the inductor = 121.4 A

e.) maximum current in the inductor 171.7 A

f.) average power delivered to the inductor = ?

g.) Find an expression for the instantaneous current. (Use the following as necessary: t.) = ?

h.) i figured this one out and its not relevant

i managed to work through most of it but i just cant get F and G. any help or guidance would be very much appreciated. thank you!

Explanation / Answer

Given output voltage of an AC generator is given by v = 102 V sin (27t )              maximum volateg    V = 102 V           rms voltage   V rms   = V / 2                                                = 102 / 2                                             = 72.1248 V   F) averagd power delivered in the inductor                    P av = I rms V rms                           = 121.4 * 72.1248                           = 8755 W G )     I (t)   = I max cost                      = 171.7 cos ( 27t )
