k = mg / x
= (60kg)(9.8m/s2) / (0.02m)
= 2.94×104 m N/m


Now formula for the compression of the spring is
x = mg / k
Here m = (25)(60kg) + 3(15kg) + 5(3kg) + 25kg
= 1585kg
Now x = (1585kg)(9.8m/s2) /(2.94×104 m N/m)
= 0.528m
but it asks if I have accounted for all mass? Have i?
