Here when unpolarized light passes through first filter it will polarize the light in only vertical direction so light having vibrations in vertical direction only will pass.i.e image 2 of second row and after second filter since polarizer pass axis is perpendicular to vibrations coming out so no light will pass through after that i.e. 4 image of first row.
NOTE: after 1 filter you have inserted the image that is also vertical vibrations but there amplitude is less than unpolarized light so that will not be true and the other one with same amplitude having vertical vibrations will be true.
