Explanation / Answer
So , the risk of complex diseases are : Parental age , parental genetics & environmental interactions leading to mutations . 2nd question : genetic testing for breast cancer should be offered to : in my view it is Anyone who wants it & Anyone who is at a high risk.Genetic testing is a series of biochemical test which allows the diagnosis of a persons vulnerability to genetic disorders & also reveals a persons ancestry . It involves analysis of RNA , DNA , proteins & some metabolites associated to heritable diseases . There are many emotional , social & financial factors that determine whether or not a person should go for genetic testing. Revelation of a particular heritable genetic disease may also affect the other members of the family putting them into suspecting circle . Also , it might dishearten the person & family members as the malformity or pre - timed death will be confirmed . For " parents to be " couples positive results of such testing would make them hopeless . Confirmation upon any particular genetic disease after the testing may also make a person feel inferior to others , & have difficulty in discharging his duties well in the society . Financial factors may be directly associated to the persons state of mind . Knowing about his genetic makeup may hinder him from applying for good responsible jobs , or even getting a good job , & quite possible some jobs may altogether prevent him from applying . Keeping all these factors in mind I would still say genetic testing should be offered to those who want it & to those who are at a high risk .
