a) the current through the motor when it first starts up is I = V/R = 110/5 = 22 A

b) when back ef of Vb 110 V is there then the current is

I = (V -Vb)/R  

I = (110-100)/5 = 10/5 = 2 A

the current when the motor is running at full speed is 2 A
