Calculate the magnitude of the elec- tric force on this charge.
Answer in units of N
Calculate the work that had to be done by an external force to bring Q to the origin from the distant point.
Answer in units of J
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!
Explanation / Answer
magnitude of net field at origin = field due to one charge + field due to other charge at origin field due to x-axis charge = k*-1.1 × 10-5 /49 =x lets say field due to y-axis charge = k*1×10-5 /25 = y lets say but these two fields are perpendicualr to each other hence vector addition suggests that magnitude will be sqrt( x^2 + y^2) note that k = 9 x 10^-9 substitute the values to get teh answer
