Steps by steps solution with clear explanation on how to get the answer please.

Thanks in advance! =)

An open tank, measuring 4 m long by 2 wide by by 1.5 m high, is filled with water to a depth of 1 m as shown in Figure 2. The tank is being towed by a truck on a level road in the positive y direction. 4 m 1.5 m 1 m. A Water Figure 2 Determine the maximum acceleration if no water spillage is allowed during towing. (i) If the tank were to be towed on an uphill road that makes an angle of 10° with the horizontal, determine the maximum acceleration if water spillage is to be avoided

Explanation / Answer

At the condition of limiting spillage,
tan=a/g

so, 1.5/4=a/g

1)a=0.375g= 3.75 m/sec2

2) tan= acos10/(g+asin10)

1.5/4= 0.984a/(10+0.174a)

a=4.07 m/sec2
