Question

A long horizontal wire carries 22.0 A of current due north. What is the angle and magnitude of the net magnetic field 25.0 cm due west of the wire if the Earth's field there points north but downward, 43° below the horizontal, and has magnitude 5.0 * 10-5 T?

Please explain how to do this problem! I have the answer for the magnitude of B = 4*10^-5 T but could someone show the equations used for both the calculation of the magnitude and angle theta of the magnetic field.

B(net)= 4*10-5 T

= 24_degrees below the horizontal
